The New “LinkedIn Contacts”
- Jul 2, 2013 9:05 AM
LinkedIn recently introduced a new “LinkedIn Contacts” page that could potentially be the most significant update to B2B businesses in the short history of social media thus far.
A few benefits of their new feature include:
Filters
Filter your LinkedIn connections using filters such as:
- Recent Conversations
- Newly Added
- Alphabetical
- Company
- Location
- Lost touch
Tags
Every member (free and paid) can now create up to 50 unique Tags to help them sort and keep track of their contacts.
Search by Title & Company
Use Title and Companies to quickly scan through your contacts to find your connections with a specific title or company.
Location
New to this feature: you can now see where your connections are located on a map. This may help you discover regions with potential to include in your outreach campaigns that you had not considered before.
Clean-up Contacts
LinkedIn has added and improved a number of features to make the process of cleaning up your contact list much more efficient, especially for people with large networks.
Adding new Contacts
LinkedIn now gives you the ability to add your address book and calendar from a number of platforms such as:
- Emails, Contacts, & Calendars
- Applications
- Contacts File Imports
Mobile
LinkedIn members can gain easy access to their contacts and calendars through LinkedIn’s mobile app. Currently available for iPhone only, but they are working on an Android and mobile web version.
